اليوم نسلط الضوء على وضع ليلى سويف، الأستاذة والناشطة في حقوق الإنسان البالغة من العمر 68 عامًا، التي تخوض إضرابًا عن الطعام منذ 150 يومًا احتجاجًا على استمرار احتجاز ابنها.
وقد عبر الأطباء المشرفون على حالتها عن قلقهم البالغ حيال تدهور صحتها. ابنها، علاء عبد الفتاح، الكاتب والناشط البريطاني-المصري، لا يزال قيد الاحتجاز، على الرغم من قضائه خمس سنوات في السجن.
تثير هذه القضية مخاوف كبيرة بشأن الالتزام بالإجراءات القانونية والمعايير المتعلقة بحقوق الإنسان. نحن نتضامن مع ليلى وعلاء، ونطالب الحكومة المصرية بإنقاذ حياتها وإطلاق سراح علاء، والالتزام بمبادئ العدالة وكرامة الإنسان.

Her son, Alaa Abd el-Fattah, a British-Egyptian writer and activist, remains in custody despite having served his five-year sentence. This situation raises significant concerns regarding adherence to legal processes and human rights standards.
We stand in solidarity with Laila and Alaa, urging the Egyptian government to save her life, free Alaa, and uphold the principles of justice and human dignity.
